Christianity Explored

Following the success of our Alpha course, we are pleased to announce the launch of this exciting programme in the New Year.

Aimed at all those who would like the opportunity to ask questions about Christianity, or just to sit and listen, whether existing believers or not.

Each week will focus on a different aspect of Jesus’ life, and our lives, using Mark’s gospel as a guide.

  • What are we doing here?
  • Who is Jesus?
  • Why did Jesus come?
  • Why did Jesus die?
  • Why did Jesus rise?
  • How can God accept us?
  • What does it mean to follow Jesus?

The course will commence on Sunday 10th January 2016 (with a break on 7th February) and will run for 7 weeks until 28th February, commencing after the evening service at 18.45 and lasting for a couple of hours - including a 20 minute DVD, discussion time and an evening meal.  It is completely free of charge.

Please spread the word to others you think may be interested in joining us.  It would be helpful for catering and resourcing if you could confirm intention to attend by email to This email address is being protected from spambots. Update January 2016

We have just held our first weekly Christianity Explored session, which will run for a total of 7 weeks, so you still have time to come along if you have not yet done so.  We were delighted that over 20 of us enjoyed the first session, and that we were joined by a number of folk from outside our group of regular church attendees who had been attracted by our publicity efforts.  Thanks to all in the Spiritual Growth group for putting this on.
