Annual Report  (February 2018)

The Coffee House as continued to grow and develop over the last year, the introduction of the Coffee Machine has increased the choices for our customers which include Latte, Cappuccino and the most popular is our Deluxe Hot Chocolate.  We started offering light lunches Thursday and Friday 12-2pm from November 2017 they are becoming very popular with each month our menu includes Soup and a Sandwich, bacon rolls, Cheese on toast and sandwiches to name but a few.  We have kept our prices very competitive so when the new development and plaza are finished we will have some regular custom buy hopefully we can attract the passing trade to the new shops and restaurants.  We are hoping to have some seating out the front so we can be an integral part of the regeneration.

Each month in the past we have had held a Charity Morning with the said charity running their own stalls and selling goods etc and we donated the Coffee House takings to the allotted Charity.  This year we have decided to change this format slightly.  We have chosen a number of Charities to support this year, to include Alzheimer's, Stroke Association, Brain Tumour Charity and many more.  We will supply a wide range of Homemade Cakes and refreshments and all the takings from the cake and coffee mornings will be donated to the charity that day.

We held our First one on Friday 2nd February 2018 for Thames Hospice and it was a great success taking over £350 pounds.

Over the next few months we hope to offer a set lunch to the clients and their carers from The Alzheimer's café that is held once a fortnight in the Coffee House and very popular thanks to Claire and her group of loyal Volunteers.  If this proves popular we could maybe offer this once a month.

Considering all the disruption outside the building we have certainly not lost much custom and hopefully as the redevelopment progresses we can increase our footfall this year.
